Kenneth E. DelleFemine

<p>Kenneth DelleFemine, 72, a lifelong resident of East Providence, died Monday May 29th at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, the son of the late Frank and Hope (Lother) DelleFemine, brother of Richard DelleFemine and the late Carol Bouchard. He was the beloved husband of Donna (Morgan) DelleFemine of 52 years and the devoted father of Andrea Bond and Jason DelleFemine. He was the proud grandfather of Kenneth Bond, Kyle Bond, Tyler DelleFemine and Emily DelleFemine and is survived by many nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>Ken served in the Army Reserves for six years and then became an East Providence Fire Fighter serving is community for ten years. Ken left the fire department to pursue his dream of owning his own construction company, starting DelleFemine Corporation, for which he was the owner and operator for over 20 years. After retiring from construction, Ken took the knowledge, skills and desire to serve to FEMA where he provided logistic support for disaster assistances covering the east coast of the United States for five years, and then retired.</p><p><br></p><p>Ken was a proud patriotic American who loved his family, friends and community. He loved the ocean and being by the water. He was an avid boater from the age of 16, when he acquired his first boat. He was a member of the Rumford Lion’s Club for many years and very active in Rumford Little League, sponsoring several teams and assisting with the construction of Kimberly Ann Rock Field.</p><p><br></p><p>Calling hours are Saturday, June 3, 2023, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Perry McStay Funeral Home in East Providence with a service to follow at 7 PM.&nbsp; Burial will be private.</p><p><br></p>
