Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Whitlow Washington, age 82, of Springhill, LA, will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, June 1, 2023, at the Springhill Methodist Church, Springhill, LA, with Dr. Charles Payne officiating. Interment will follow in Harmony Cemetery, Magnolia, AR, under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2023, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.

Mrs. Washington was born on April 20, 1941, in Walkerville, AR, and passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023, in Springhill, LA. She was employed at International Paper for 32 years, and when she retired from there, starting working for the Webster Parish School board for eight years. She was a faithful member of the Springhill Methodist Church for over 60 years. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.  

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Mike Washington; son, David Washington; two granddaughters, Jenna Kate and Madalyn Grace Washington; sister, Sandra Orr; and brother, Mike Whitlow; and wife, Sue.

Mrs. Washington was preceded in death by her parents, Overton and Orene Whitlow, and brother-in-law, Billy Gene Orr.

Pallbearers will be Geoffrey Orr, Jonathan Orr, Patrick Orr, Mikey Whitlow, Marty Whitlow, Riley Orr, and Jordan Orr.  Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Sam Holladay.

The family would like to thank Molly Eason, Alichia Butler, Angi Hunt, and the St. Joseph Hospice staff, who helped care for Mrs. Washington during her illness. To the family and friends who showed so much kindness and love to Mrs. Washington during this difficult time, words cannot express how grateful we are to you for everything you did. Thank You.
