Garry D. Pfingston, age 78, of Peetz, CO, passed away peacefully in Cheyenne, WY on Sunday, May 28, 2023 at 3:53 pm with his siblings Chuck Pfingston and Carmen Marsh at his side. A private family celebration is planned.

Garry was born on March 4, 1945 in Inglewood, CA. He resided in CA for most of his life before moving to Peetz several years ago. Garry was the oldest out of 8 children, and paved the way for the rest by being an exemplary role model. He loved his family more than anything and always made sure we were cared for. Some of his most proud accomplishments included being a Sergeant in the Marines, working for General William Lyon, and being an avid skier. His passions included traveling, sharing stories of his adventures, camping in Yosemite, eating sweets, and reading books or the local newspaper daily.

Garry was preceded by his parents Willard Pfingston and Yvonne Marks-Pfingston, and brothers Mike and Tim Pfingston.

He is survived by his siblings Carmen Marsh, Cecila Wood, Doug Pfingston, Chuck Pfingston, and Tom Pfingston. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his family and friends. He truly loved each of them, and if you knew him then you knew it. When his time came, he carried himself with dignity, strength, and full of love. He will be missed dearly.
