Myrtle Campbell Obituary

Myrtle was born in Smith, Kentucky in Harlan County to Pauline (nee Cavins) and Enos Hensley on February 28, 1945. She is the beloved wife of Hardin "Sonny" Campbell; devoted mother of Pauline Farthing, Kathy (Jeff) Studer and Wesley (Judie) Campbell; cherished grandmother of Michael (Danielle) Farthing, Heather (Danny) Porter, David Farthing, Jessica (Scott Hill) Studer, Sam Studer, Matthew Veerkamp, Sarah Campbell and great grandchildren Casey Porter, Ryan Porter, Tyson Porter and Ava Hill; dear sister of Jean (Luke) McArthur, the late Robert (Nada) Hensley, Gladys (the late Fred) Stewart, Noah "Preacher" (Teresa) Hensley, Sue (Roger) Smith, Lige (Melanie) Hensley and Mont (Marilyn) Hensley; also survived by many loving family and friends.

Myrtle's greatest love was her family. She enjoyed keeping them well fed and made sure nobody ever left the house hungry. She loved cooking, gardening, fishing, and the occasional trip to the casino for the slot machines. Myrtle also enjoyed the time she spent working at Providence Hospital. She will be remembered for her deep love for her family, for her roses and sunflowers, and for her scratch off lotto plays. Myrtle was a shining light among her family and friends and will be deeply missed.

A visitation for Myrtle will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 at Paul R. Young Funeral Home from 11 am until time of service at 1 pm.
