Bill DeVore

<p>Richfield, Utah – William “Bill” Robert DeVore, age 77, of Richfield, passed away May 26, 2023, at his home in Richfield. He was born November 8, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan, a son of Forest and Dorothy Rosevelt DeVore. He remained a loyal fan of all things Michigan (especially sports teams) up to the day he died.</p><p><br></p><p>Bill married Cheryl Shepley and they had four children: William James, Dennis Michael, and twins, Shannon Marie and Sherri Lee. Bill and Cheryl later divorced. He later met and married Kathleen DeLeeuw, July 30, 2001, in Salt Lake City. They later moved to Richfield where they made their home. They were active in the Richfield Elks Lodge. Kathy and Bill enjoyed spending winters in Beaver Dam, Arizona and being involved with the Elks Lodge and the First Baptist Church of Mesquite.</p><p></p><p>Bill worked as a telecommunication installer for 30 years.</p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy of Richfield; children: William James and Jackie DeVore of Oroville, California; Dennis Michael DeVore and John Fuente, Shannon Marie DeVore, Sherri Lee and Anthony Nelson, all of Sacramento, California; 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Karen Beck and Barbara Wilkins.</p><p><br></p><p>The family expresses appreciation to the many neighbors, family and friends who have given assistance and love at this difficult time. We appreciate the services and support of Springer Turner Funeral Home and the Richfield 2nd LDS Ward Relief Society.</p><p><br></p><p>Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 12 Noon in the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel, 260 North 400 West in Richfield, where friends may call for viewing Saturday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated.</p><p><br></p>
