Barbara J. Francis, 90, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2023.

She was the wife of Leonard R. Francis to whom she was married for 66 years.

Born in West Columbia, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Grover and Ruby (Ellisor) Wilson.

Mrs. Francis was a secretary for New England Telephone for many years before retiring. She enjoyed sewing, reading and was an avid Patriots fan.

Besides her husband she leaves two daughters, Lori Moore of North Carolina, Lynn Dana and her husband Stephen Tufts of North Providence, one brother, Murray Wilson and one sister, Linda McLemore. She was the sister of the late Joyce Wilson, Miriam Bunting and Harold Wilson.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023, from 5-8 in the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. Funeral services and burial will be private.
