With heavy hearts, the family of Linda Joyce Walker, wife of Harry Walker, announces her passing which occurred at Saint John Regional Hospital on May 26, 2023. She was born on August 8, 1946 in Saint John, NB, a daughter of the late Harold and Dorothy (Metcalfe) Lounsbury.

Besides her husband of 51 years, Harry, she is also survived by her son Randy Walker; nieces: Patti Daley, Tammie Arseneault and Debbie Lounsbury, along with several cousins. Linda is predeceased by her parents, brother Kenneth Lounsbury; sister-in-law Patricia Lounsbury; nieces: Paula and Susan Lounsbury.

Linda was a member of the Kings County Historical & Archival Society, the Kingston Friendship Group and the KV Women’s Bowling League.

She had a lifelong love of pets, especially cats and dogs. She enjoyed knitting, tole painting and other craftwork.

She had worked for over eight years as a cashier at Ben Goldstein’s Music Store and Dominion Stores in Saint John.

Linda enjoyed watching pet shows on TV, like Hudson and Rex and animal vet shows.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB where visitation will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 12:00 to 2:00pm, followed by the funeral service at 2:00pm.
