Barbara Salle, age 76, passed away in her home surrounded by family on May 27, 2023. A lifelong resident of Canton, she was born on May 14, 1947, to Hymie and Esther (Wieder) Cooper and graduated from McKinley High School. Following high school, she began a career in the bookkeeping field and ultimately worked for Plain Local Schools as an aide for over 20 years. Barb had a loving personality and cherished her shopping excursions with her mother and later with her daughter and granddaughter. She was also known for all the blueberries she picked from her backyard.

Barb’s family would like to thank Dr. Haut and staff for their dedication these past few years as well as the nurses at Mercy Hospital, 8th floor.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Michael Salle; daughter Tiffany Salle; grandchildren Spencer Salle and Alexis Salle; siblings Nancy (Barry) Appelbaum and Jo Sanders.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 31, at 11:00 A.M. at the Arnold Funeral Home at 1517 Market Ave N with Cantor Bruce Braun officiating. Final resting place is Canton Hebrew Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Mercy Hospice, Shaaray Torah Synagogue, or Aunt Susie’s Cancer Wellness Center.
