Harry Decker, 85, of Lewistown, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023 at his residence.

He was born on July 31, 1937 in Centralia, IL, to Ralph and Bessie Ann (Owen) Decker.

He married Nancy Decker on August 18, 1964 in Canton. She preceded him in death on February 7, 2023.

Surviving are his children, Joy Harris of Beardstown; Robin (Ernie) Warfield of Canton, Donna Howerter of Astoria; Ted (Sabrina) Decker of Avondale, Arizona; Steven Decker of Canton; Kevin (Billie) Decker of Bryant; Tina (Robin) Henderson of Lewistown; Roger (Jane) Edwards of Lewistown; 22 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Beverly Brazel, one son, John Decker, six brothers, Ralph, Fred, Charles, Martin, Jay and Marshall and one sister, Martha Morse.

Harry served in the U.S. Army and later retired as a diesel mechanic from Centre State International in Peoria.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton from 5-7 pm. Cremation rites will follow visitation.

A graveside burial of the ashes will be held at Apple Cemetery, on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at 10 am with a celebration of his life will be held at the Lewistown VFW at 11 am.

Burial of his and Nancy’s ashes will be held at Apple Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the family to aid with expenses.
