David Lee Taylor Obituary

David Lee Taylor, Jr., better known as D.J. or Breeze, passed away April 27, 2019. He was born to David Sr. and Jennifer (Wiechman) Taylor on November 26, 1991 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Breeze graduated for Bowie High School in 2010. He was a valued employee of the city of Horseshoe Bay where he worked as a purchasing agent. His job was to acquire property for the fire, utilities, and many other departments for the city. When not on the job, Breeze could be found on his Harley in high gear with the wind in his face. He loved riding, he and his wife Lauren, took many trips across the state to visit family, friends, or just to get away. He was a selfless man and participated in many motorcycle fundraisers raising money for various worthy causes. He loved his family and would do anything for them, although, he was quick to pull a prank at their expense, such as tying a cowbell to the frame of his father’s bike or turning off the lights in the house and spooking his wife. If Breeze was around, you could bet a joke or prank was right there with him. He also loved to fish, he and Lauren could fish all day in the beaming sun. He didn’t target any particular species of fish, just the one that would bite. The peacefulness of the great outdoors was a relaxing pleasure for him. He will be greatly missed by all the people who knew him, especially his family.

He is survived by his wife of four years, Lauren Taylor of Kingsland, Texas; father, David Taylor, Sr. and wife Deanna of Iowa Park, Texas; mother, Jennifer Essary and husband Ted of Bowie, Texas; sister, Kimberly Ann Clampitt and husband Danny of Bowie, Texas; brother, Daniel Winn of Wichita Falls, Texas; grandfather, Dave Cujo Taylor and wife Lynn of Kingsland, Texas; grandmother, Janice ”Mimi” Wiechman of Wichita Falls, Texas; step brother, Joshua Mardis and wife Megan; step sister, Jayla Mardis; aunts, Julie Holley and husband Steven, Janna Buckmaster and husband Chad; uncle, James Wiechman, Jr.; nieces, Riley, Abigail, Clara, Shelby, and Justice; nephews, Tristan, Carter, Bradon and wife Alaina, Grant, Carson, Kyler, Elli, Dasan, and Oakly; mother-in-law, Kimberly Clack; father-in-law, Joseph Eastridge and wife Heidi; sister-in-laws, Jessica Cain, Statia Ruddy, and Katelin Eastridge.
