AMBER EDWARDS

Amber Edwards, 35, of Palatka passed away Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine following a brief illness.

Amber was born at the former Putnam Memorial Hospital in Palatka and had been a lifelong resident of Palatka. She was a 2005 graduate of the Palatka High School and was employed by her father. Amber loved to cook, doing hair and make-up, making new friends, animals, and living life. With her concern for animals, she had taken in many stray animals and found homes for them. She most importantly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children.

Preceding her in death were her paternal grandfather, Clyde Edwards; an aunt, Jamel Comer; and a cousin, Jean Adam Bourgeois.

Surviving are her husband of ten years, Damon Geisler; her parents, Michael and Cindy Edwards; a daughter, Marleigh Edwards; two sons, Gabriel Geisler and Asher Geisler; a brother, Darrin Luke Edwards; her paternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Alice and James Holley; her maternal grandparents, Doris and Tom Wicks; her father-in-law, Darrel Geisler (Allice Parsons); her mother-in-law and spouse, Kimberly and Keith Bushy; and many cousins and friends.

Amber’s Celebration of Life will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 30th at Masters Funeral Home in Palatka with Pastor Garry Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the start of the service.
