William Peter Scott

<p>SCOTT, William Peter (Bill) - Born November 7, 1931, passed away peacefully at the Bridge Hospice on May 25, 2023. Predeceased by parents Robert John Scott and Josephine Victoria Scott (nee McConnell) and brother Robert John (Bob) Scott. Bill farmed near Meyersburg with his brother until Bob's passing in 2018. They raised cattle and crops and the brothers could be seen cutting hay on matching tractors, harvesting grain, as well as baling hay and caring for their cattle. Shortly after Bob died Bill moved to Island Park which was his first move in 80 years. Bill was a kind and generous man who will be missed by relatives and many close neighbours who were like family. Many Thanks to the caring staff at Island Park, Warkworth Place and The Bridge Hospice. Burial at the Warkworth Cemetery will take place on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. A Celebration of Life will be held in Bill's honour on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. at the Codrington Community Centre, 2992 County Road 30, Codrington. If desired, Memorial Donations in memory of Bill may be made to The Bridge Hospice or the Campbellford Memorial Hospital Foundation.
