<p>AUGUSTA-It is with great sorrow that we inform you, our mother, Anne C. Sawyer, 76, passed away on May 24, 2023.</p><p>She was born on August 15, 1946 to the late Valmond and Julienne (Dostie) Rodrigue.</p><p>Mom worked for the State of Maine, and was a homemaker for several years. The majority of her career was spent working in the Human Resource Department at Central Maine Power, where she retired in 2009 after 30 years of employment.</p><p>Anne enjoyed sewing, shopping, and following her grandsons various sports.</p><p>She is predeceased by her parents, and her former husband, Richard N. Sawyer of Winthrop.</p><p>Anne is survived by her daughters Kelly Sawyer of Augusta, and Rebecca Kennedy and her husband Christopher of Cumberland, Maine; grandsons, Matthew Kennedy and Benjamin Kennedy of Cumberland; six siblings, Patricia Gilbert and her husband Larry, Normand Rodrigue and his wife Lynne, Connie Pomerleau, Pauline McKenney and her husband Harry, Louise Patenaude and her husband George, and Peter Rodrigue and his wife Suzanne; a special sister in law Mary Sawyer of Augusta; and several nieces and nephews.</p><p>A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 26th at 10am at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 75 Northern Ave., Augusta, ME 04330. Internment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Anne’s name may be made to St. Michael’s School, 56 Sewall St., Augusta, ME 04330 to benefit the Pre-K 4 room where her daughter Kelly works.
