Obituary

Scott W. Schweinfurth, of Plover, to the shock of everyone who loved him, passed away at home, on May 24, 2023, at the age of 56.

Scott was born October 10, 1966 in Chicago, IL; son of Wayne and Carol (Mitchell) Schweinfurth. When he was young, his parents relocated to the Stevens Point area, where he attended local schools. While Scott tried his best to do anything but attend school, he begrudgingly went and eventually completed his education at SPASH.

Following high school, Scott attended college for a little while, working towards being an auto mechanic. After a year, he changed his mind and decided to join the workforce. He joined a construction company that had him traveling all over the US. Once he decided to settle down back home, in Wisconsin, he joined the union and dedicated the next 30 years to his career. In 2000, Scott’s life changed for the better; his pride and joy was born; Scott became a loving father to his son, Wayne. From that day forward, Scott’s focus was Wayne, his "mini-me", and remained so as he grew into a man. Scott took great pride in being the best father he could be and to always show his son how to be a genuine person; and he succeeded - Scott is the person Wayne looks up to, and always will.

While Scott’s favorite pastime was spending time with his son, he also enjoyed watching sports; enthusiastically cheering for the Packers and Brewers; and never lost his love for cars that almost led him to be an auto mechanic; he had a Corvette he enjoyed cruising around in. He also loved swimming, grilling out, and a deep love for music; specifically Lynyrd Skynyrd. Above all, Scott was a socialite who enjoyed being with friends and family and could often be found laughing with those he loved. Scott’s kind, generous, and free spirit will be greatly missed by so many.

Scott is lovingly survived by his son, Wayne.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Carol Ann.
