<p>Christa Davis (nee Matthaey), 83, born March 27, 1940, in Berlin, Germany, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at her home in O’Fallon, IL.</p><p><br></p><p>Christa had worked at the commissary at Scott Air Force Base, and she was all about her children and grandchildren. She was an avid reader, enjoyed working in her yard, and spending time with her family.</p><p><br></p><p>Christa was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander and Erika Matthaey (nee Danowski); her beloved husband, Albert A. Davis; and one sister, Ingrid Quilitzki.</p><p><br></p><p>Left to cherish Christa’s memory are her children, Tammy (Todd) Lambert of Bourbonnias, IL, Albert Davis, IV of Swansea, IL, Angie (Chris) Poettker of Millstadt, IL; five grandchildren, Matthew Lambert, Ryan Lambert, Ashley (Roman) Ramos, Sabrina Poettker, and Alex Poettker; and two great-grandchildren, Cameron Krieger, and Lydia Lambert.</p><p><br></p><p>Condolences may be made online at www.schildknechtfh.com.</p><p><br></p><p>Private burial services will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.</p><p><br></p><p>Arrangements have been entrusted to Schildknecht Funeral Home O’Fallon, Illinois</p><p><br></p>March 27, 1940 - May 24, 202303/27/194005/24/2023
