<p>Dunlap – Beverly J. Tanney, 70, of Dunlap, passed away peacefully at 7:00 a.m. Thursday, May 25, 2023, at her residence. Beverly was born on August 6, 1952, in Ft. Madison, Iowa, the daughter of Virgil and Charlotte (Lyon) Pilkington. She married Thomas Tanney on July 1, 1978, in Nauvoo, Illinois; he survives.</p><p><br></p><p></p><p>Also surviving are one son, Chad Tanney of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; one daughter, Kelly Tanney of Peoria, Illinois; one granddaughter, Carter Tanney; one great-grandchild, River Tanney; one sister, Carole (George) Salrin; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.</p><p><br></p><p>Beverly most recently worked in the cafeteria at Wilder-Waite Grade School District #323, and previously enjoyed working as a visual at Kohls Department Store. She was a generous woman who loved caring for her home, family, and friends. She also enjoyed tending to her garden and crafting. Beverly’s family would like to give a special thank you to Shirley Theobald for her love and care.</p><p><br></p><p></p><p>Her funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Haskell Funeral &amp; Cremation Services, Princeville. Fr. Daniel McShane will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service also at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary of the Woods Cemetery.</p><p><br></p><p>Memorial contributions may be made to the Dunlap Fire Department.</p>
