Craig Werner

<p>Craig Douglas Werner passed peacefully on May 26, 2023 in Avery County at the age of 74 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. A native of Berkeley, California, Craig received his bachelor degree from University of California Santa Barbara, and graduated from Stanford University with a Masters in electrical engineering. For many years he had a career in Oman as managing director of OHI Telecommunications and sold aircraft to His Majesty, the King of Oman. He retired with his family in 2000 to the High Country. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Rashna, and his four children Nicole, Natalie, Benjamin, and Christopher.</p>
