Jeremy Lynn Buckley Obituary

Jeremy Lynn Buckley was born in Jackson, Tennessee on November 29th, 1982, to Marilynn Stephens and Willie Parram.

He moved to Milwaukee Wisconsin, Georgia, and finally Colorado Springs, Colorado with his mother Marilynn, and his sister Beverly in 1992 to start a new life.

Jeremy loved sports, especially football. He played some football in school. He was a huge fan of the Georgia teams including Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Hawks, Atlanta Braves—but his favorite was the Atlanta Falcons. To talk to him about these teams, would to be drawn into the world of him being the team advisors, as he calls it—his sage advice.

Jeremy enjoyed learning about historical events and the sequence of events that led up to them. To talk to him, you would find yourself engaged in a conversation about some historical event or a criminal event that shook the nation. You could learn something new about many topics through these engagements. Jeremy loved to cook. He would watch cooking shows and try some of the recipes and add new ingredients for the family. Summer BBQ’s or making steaks, shrimps or preparing holiday meals. It was something he really did enjoy and have people be amazed by the meals he prepared.

Jeremy had five children, Diaja, Jason, Molly, Emmaral, and Jamia.

He had nieces and nephews, Jasmine Buckley, Brittany Buckley, and Christopher Buckley.

He had grandnephews, Edward Reddell Jr., Elijah Reddell, Jeremiah Reddell, Emeliano Avalos-Montez, Isaiah Avalos-Montez and Joseph Avalos-Montez.

As we celebrate him, this quote by him feels like a good summation:

“I’ve come to realize one thing... God loves us all, the sinners and the saints, the only difference between them is that one thinks God is there and the other knows... You must believe in him and the power he has in order for it to have the influence it needs to have in your life... But ... If you're feeling as I did, Unworthy of Gods love, remember that we have a savior in Christ and that everyday is a chance to change it around man... look at me...Thought I’d dirty the waters if I was baptized.... But When he said wash you clean he meant it and that’s how I arise Clean and free from the great deceiver the confuser of men,.. I am as God intended me to be.”
