David Dorriety

<p>David Dorriety, 61, of Lake Alfred, Florida passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at his residence. He was born on Thursday, August 31, 1961, in Geneva, Alabama and moved to Polk County when he was only 5 years old.</p><p><br></p><p>He has been working the last 37 years for Cemex in Davenport, Florida as a purchasing agent and was of the Baptist faith. David loved to play golf and was a big baseball and college football fan.</p><p><br></p><p>He was predeceased by his parents, Everett and Carolyn Dorriety and is survived by his wife, of 38 years, Teresa Dorriety; son, Tim Dorriety and his wife, Shelly of Haines City, Florida; siblings, Ann, Everett, Jr. and his wife, Jean, Linda and her husband, Rob, Johnny and his wife Debbie, Gail and her husband, John, Richard and his wife, Sherry; grandchildren, Savannah, Madison and Brantley; niece, Jessica Harden and her husband, Lance; nephew, Lee Gay and his wife, Michelle and several other nieces and nephews, as well as his pup, Ramsey.</p><p><br></p><p>The visitation will be on Friday from 5-7 pm and the funeral will be Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 11 am, all at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City.</p>
