Shane E. O’Dell, 52, of Elkhart, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at his home.

Shane was born on August 24, 1970 to Dale Yoder and Patty (Fritz) Myers in Elkhart.

Shane is survived by his parents, Patty Myers and Dale Yoder of Millersburg; brother, Lou (Julie) Yoder; sister, Emily Yoder; half-brother, Jason O’Dell; half-sister, Nicky O’Dell; nephews, Dale and Mason Yoder and niece, Kennedie Stroda.

Shane is preceded in death by his grandparents, Dale and Norma Yoder.

Shane was a bricklayer and expert in masonry. He was self-employed offering his services to many local Elkhart businesses. Shane was an avid fan of motorcycles and cars, especially Harley Davidson’s and his beloved 67 Chevelle. Shane was also  a dog lover.  

Shane enjoyed living life and had a free spirit. He was generous and kind to everyone who got to know him. His family was the world to Shane.

A Celebration of Life for Shane will be held at a later date. Per the family’s request, Shane will be cremated.
