<p><br></p><p>Pilar “Mary” (nee Quintana) Perez, 93, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023, at Reading Hospital in Reading, PA. She was born in Perth Amboy, NJ and was a lifelong resident of the Ironbound Section of Newark until moving to Sinking Spring, PA 3 years ago.</p><p><br></p><p>Wife of the late Faustino Perez; devoted and loving mother of Maria Zalewski, Faustino, Jr and his wife Nancy, Miguel and his husband Michael and the late Joseph; dear sister of Manual Quintana and his wife Julia; cherished grandmother of Christine, Yvette, Victor, Stephen and Kristin; also survived by 12 soon to be 14 great-grandchildren with twins on the way, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>The Funeral for Pilar will be held on Wednesday, May 31st at 8:30 am at the Buyus Funeral Home, 426 Lafayette St. at Wilson Ave., Newark. Thence to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Newark, NJ, where at 9:30 am the Funeral Mass will be offered.&nbsp;</p><p>Cremation private.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 30th from 5 - 8 pm.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>

Beautiful woman who loved to keep a neat orderly home. Great memories living in the same apartment building together. Our families would go to the beach and picnics on weekends.
She Loved going to Spain where she grew up.
