It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our much loved sister, Ruth on Wednesday, May 24, 2023.

Daughter of the late James and Muriel MacCormack of Coxheath, Ruth attended Riverview High School and later became an LPN at the Nova Scotia Hospital in Dartmouth where she met and married the love of her life, Danny who passed away in 2009.

Ruth was a giving and caring person as her friends can attest and the love for her family was quite evident.

She leaves behind her brothers, Nelson (Donette) and Ross (Edna); nieces, Laura and Amy; nephew, Ryan; nieces, Sarah and Lindsay; Danny’s three grandchildren, Wylie, Makayla and Daniel; along with extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins.

A thank you goes out to the VON and Home Care for helping Ruth in recent months and to neighbours and her best friend, Wanda Gillis for their support.

Celebration of Life will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Saturday, June 3rd at 11 a.m. with Mr. Gary Grant officiating. Interment will take place in Alfred E. Smith Cemetery.
