Shirley Ann Ketchum, age 80, of Harrison Township, MI died early Thursday morning May 25, 2023. She was born November 29, 1942 to Regina and Robert Brendle. She graduated from St. Rose High School in Detroit in 1960. Shirley met Ron Ketchum in 1953 and they married in 1961 spending 67 years of their lives together. She is also survived by her daughters Vickie (Bruce) Pittman and Valri (Mark) Yennor. She is survived by her grandchildren Eric (Danielle) Ketchum, Rebecca (David) Pomaville, Bruce Pittman, Brianna (Billy) Eller, Jenna (Joe) Demmers and Ashley Hoyt. She is survived by her great grandchildren Jolie, Jackson, Madelyn, Charlie, Lincoln and Ivar. She was preceded in death by her sister Martina, brother-in-law Charles, brother Robert and her parents Regina and Robert Brendle. She loved her work as a paraprofessional in the school system, especially with the preschoolers. She loved getting all dolled up to go to the casino and spending time with her family. She enjoyed euchre and Yahtzee with her friends. She will be remembered for her fiery spirit and the way her laugh lit up the room. Per her request there will be no memorial, but donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Riverview Health and Rehabilitation Center who took great care of her during her final months.
