<p>Carol Ann Mullen Imlach, 82 of Wasilla, Alaska passed away May 21, 2023, after a courageous battle against Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD). Carol was born Oct 5, 1939, to Joseph and Francis Mullen in Helena, Montana. She graduated High School in Rawlings, Wyoming. She attended Carroll College in Helena, Montana where she met and later married William “Ned” Imlach of Anchorage, Alaska. She spent the next 62 years building a loving home for her family. Carol dedicated her life to her husband and 5 children. The early years were spent transferring to various duty stations across the United States while Ned served in the US Navy, both domestic and abroad. Upon retiring from military duty in 1984, they settled in Wasilla.</p><p>Together they started Alaskan Family Dental Center, and over the next 19 years, built a successful dental practice. Carol and Ned took great pride in serving their community. Her greatest joy was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whom she loved unconditionally. She was an ardent supporter of education and took special pride in watching each of her children earn their college degrees.</p><p>Carol was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic parish and dedicated her time to acts of service within her religious community; a prayer warrior, volunteering on the funeral committee and supporting the ACTS retreat. In addition, she prayed many rosaries for those suffering across the world.</p><p>Carol is survived by her husband of 62 years, Dr. William “Ned” Imlach, DDS (Ret. USN; Capt.), her children: Valerie ( Lindemann, Scott Imlach, Dirk Imlach, Cheryl Imlach, and Jennifer DeWitt. She leaves behind her surviving siblings; Mike, Nancy, and Jim, her 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, her best friend of 62 years, Carolynn Hussmann, and numerous friends and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers David and Don Mullen. Carol will be missed greatly by all who loved her fiercely.</p><p>A viewing will be held Friday June 2, 6-8pm at Legacy Funeral Home, Wasilla. A reciting of the Rosary will be offered in her honor and for the repose of her soul beginning at 7 pm. Livestreaming is available at www.legacyalaska.com. The funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday June 3, 11:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with a viewing 30 minutes prior. A brief reception will follow the Mass prior to the Graveside service at Sacred Heart Cemetery. All are welcome. The Mass will be live streamed at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Facebook page. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to these organizations that were near to her heart: American Life League, National Right to Life and/or Casting for Recovery.</p><p><br></p>
