Lena Baker Rucker

Lena Rucker age 96, passed away peacefully at her home. Lena was a long-time employee and custodian for the Rockcastle County Schools, as well as her professional cleaning she did for several business in Mt Vernon. Lena was born in Madison County to the late Johnny and Mary Mitchell Baker, and she was also preceded in death by her husband James Henry ‘Dick’ Rucker, her great granddaughter Brittney Cromer, and all of her siblings; Russell Baker, Ches Baker, Jay Baker, Stella Anglin, Margaret Lamb, Hazel Blanton, Lucy Jones, Edna Mae Lear, and Gladys Mattney.

Lena is survived by her children: Wynona (Rowland) Isaac, Roger Dale (Faye) Rucker, and Karen Ramsey, her grandchildren: Valerie (Dan) Chase, Jeryl (Mike) Pittman, Brian (Darlene) Ramsey, Heather (Kevin) McClure, Ryan Ramsey, Jessi (Anthony) Cummins, her great grandchildren; Brandon, Haley, Ayley, Garrett, Addie, Katie, and Maddox, and her great-great grandchildren: Madison, Morgan and Logan.

Funeral Services will be Friday May 26, 2023 at 2 pm at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Buchanan officiating. Burial will be in the Berea Cemetery, pallbearers will be Brian, Maddox, Ryan, Kevin, Anthony, Garrett, Dan, and Mike. Visitation will be Friday from 11 am – 2 pm at Lakes Funeral Home.
