<p>Cherry Moser, 90, Medina, ND passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023 at SMP Health-Ave Maria, Jamestown, ND. </p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Cherry Moser was born December 29, 1932 south of Medina to Christ and Clara (Bader) Rau.&nbsp; She was raised on their farm, graduated from Medina High School in 1950, attended NDSU, and married Duane Hochhalter in December 1951.&nbsp; They lived in Seattle, WA and San Diego, CA and had no children. </p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In July 1954, Cherry married Richard Powers in San Diego, CA.&nbsp; Over the next 20 years, they lived in California and Texas.&nbsp; They have four children, one daughter Leslie (Carl) Rucker, Florida, three sons, Michael Powers, Ryan (Scheryl) Powers, and Patrick (Diane) Powers, all of California.&nbsp; Cherry was employed at Skylawn Memorial Park, San Mateo, CA for 10 years, and SRI International, Menlo Park, CA for 10 years. </p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Cherry married Roger Moser on March 15, 1985 in Elko, Nevada.&nbsp; They lived in California for three years before returning to Medina in November 1988.&nbsp; They built and operated C &amp; R Dairy Treat for 14 years from 1989 before retiring in 2003. </p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Cherry and Roger were members of Zion United Church of Christ in Medina and held numerous offices within the church.&nbsp; Cherry also loved singing in the church choir.&nbsp; Besides being a long-term Treasurer of the church, Cherry enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, as well as card-playing and bingo.&nbsp; Cherry spent many hours at her sewing machine and quilting frame.&nbsp; She made special quilts for family and friends.&nbsp; Cherry made over 200 quilts that she donated to the Trauma Center in Fargo. </p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Cherry is survived by her four children; Leslie (Carl) Rucker, Florida; Michael Powers, Ryan (Scheryl) Powers and Patrick (Diane) Powers, all of California; one step-son, Ken (Dale) Moser, Texarkana, AK, and one step-daughter, Carmen Cochrane, Bennett, NE; 14 grandchildren, one step-grandchild and nine great-grandchildren; sister Donna Dikoff, Medina, ND, Ardella Bader, Minot, ND; one brother Vernon Bader, Fargo, ND. </p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Cherry was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roger, her sisters Lanora Job and Jean Antonovich, her brother Duane (Jeanne) Rau, three brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law. </p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Cherry was much loved and will be missed. </p><p>Visitation will be one hour before the service.&nbsp; Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Zion United Church of Christ, Medina, ND with Candyce Wick officiating.&nbsp; Interment will be in Medina Cemetery. </p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Eddy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. </p>

Cherry Moser, 90, Medina, ND passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023 at SMP Health-Ave Maria, Jamestown, ND.

     Cherry Moser was born December 29, 1932 south of Medina to Christ and Clara (Bader) Rau.  She was raised on their farm, graduated from Medina High School in 1950, attended NDSU, and married Duane Hochhalter in December 1951.  They lived in Seattle, WA and San Diego, CA and had no children.

     In July 1954, Cherry married Richard Powers in San Diego, CA.  Over the next 20 years, they lived in California and Texas.  They have four children, one daughter Leslie (Carl) Rucker, Florida, three sons, Michael Powers, Ryan (Scheryl) Powers, and Patrick (Diane) Powers, all of California.  Cherry was employed at Skylawn Memorial Park, San Mateo, CA for 10 years, and SRI International, Menlo Park, CA for 10 years.

Visitation will be one hour before the service.  Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Zion United Church of Christ, Medina, ND with Candyce Wick officiating.  Interment will be in Medina Cemetery.
