DANFORTH - Elizabeth “Betty” A. Golding, 95, died May 13, 2023. She was born January 2, 1928 in Danforth, the daughter of Charles and Bessie (Williams) Ames. She graduated from East Grand High School. She went on to work at the local telephone office until its closure in 1958. Also worked at Russell’s Nursing home of Danforthh and Rideout’s Lodge in Weston. She enjoyed playing Skip-Bo every Sunday with family and she was the current holder of the “Boston Post Cane” in Danforth.

She is survived by two sons, Frederick Gillis Sr and his Wife Joy. Barry Gillis and his partner Carrie Hanington, along with 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husbands Fred Gillis and Arey Golding. Also her parents, three sisters, one brother and her daughter Paula M. Gillis.
