<p>Rush Springs: Maxine Virginia Cotham, 102, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023, in Marlow.</p><p><br></p><p>Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, May 22, 2023, at the Rush Springs Cemetery with Johnny Teel and Kevin Worden officiating. Burial and all arrangements are under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Rush Springs.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Chapel in Rush Springs on Sunday, May 20, 4:00-8:30 PM. </p><p><br></p><p>Maxine was born Sunday, May 30, 1920, in Rush Springs, to Rube and Ida (Blue) Glover. She was a graduate of Rush Springs High School. Maxine lived in Rush Springs all of her life and worked at the Grady County Courthouse for more than 40 years. She married her best friend and love of her life, Tom Cotham, on September 16, 1939 in Chickasha. Maxine and Tom celebrated more than 68 loving years of marriage until Tom preceded her in death on October 17, 2007. She was a lifelong fan of the Rush Springs Redskins and she enjoyed going to any and all ballgames she could. Maxine anxiously waited to attend the Watermelon Festival every year and even worked the snow cone stand and registration. She loved going to the Senior Citizens Center to eat and spend time visiting with her friends. Maxine was loved by many in the community and will be dearly missed. </p><p><br></p><p>Maxine leaves behind her very special friends and caregivers, Linda and Burl White of Duncan, and cousins, Boyd and Cheryl Glover, and Allene Vansickle. </p><p><br></p><p>She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, and her life-long neighbor and very special friend, Joe Tunnel. </p><p><br></p><p>Honorary Pallbearers will be: Kyle Foster, Joe Allen Jones, Tim Beard, Kyle Jones, Gary Jones, Dick Jones, James Hammond, David Dennis, Jay Lynn White, and Joe Kyle White. </p><p><br></p><p>Maxine's family and friends would like to say thank you to the staff of Gregston's Nursing Home and Choice Hospice for the wonderful care given to Maxine.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Online condolences may be made to www.CallawaySmithCobb.com</p>
