<p>HOLLINS, SHIRLEY PAULINE (ALBERT)</p><p><br></p><p>It is with great sadness the family of Shirley Pauline Hollins of Fredericton, NB, announce her passing on Monday, May 15, 2023 at Pine Grove Nursing Home. Born on March 28, 1933 in New Denmark, NB, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Carrie (Rasmussen) Albert. Shirley was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish and Saint Anthony’s Parish.</p><p><br></p><p>Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Elvin and their children, Melanie Dunn (Laurin), Shari Andrews (George), Laurie Scott (Brian), Lynn Hollins, Chandra MacLean (David), Marsha Hollins, Heather Underhill (Alan) and Paul Hollins (Kathe); 18 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Albert; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Albert Jr. and sister, Georgine Rioux (Wilfred).</p><p><br></p><p>Shirley loved being a homemaker, wife and mother. She was devoted to her family and Christian faith. Shirley was active in her church with choir, RCIA, Eucharistic ministry, Bible study group and Pastoral Care at the DECH.</p><p><br></p><p>She will be remembered and loved for her radiant smile and beautiful blue eyes. Her kindness and compassion touched anyone fortunate to know her.</p><p><br></p><p>The family is grateful for the loving care given by Dr. Russell and the staff of Pine Grove Nursing Home during her time there.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Friday, May 26, 2023 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Mass will take place at Saint Anthony’s Parish, 603 Union Street, Fredericton, NB, on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 11 am with Father Maria Arokiam Chinnappan and Father Shawn Daley as celebrants. A Private Family Interment will take place in St. Anthony’s Cemetery following the Funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Pine Grove Nursing Home or the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com</p>
