<p>James E. Lyons, "Doogie", passed away at home at the age of 64. Jim was a lifelong resident of New Brunswick and retired after 30 years of service from Rutgers University Facilities Maintenance as a Senior Mechanic.</p><p><br></p><p>Jim was a fan of the NY Yankees, the NY Giants, and Rutgers football.</p><p><br></p><p>Jim was predeceased by his parents, Alfred T. and Anne (Witt) Lyons; and his sister, Ellen Wendrzycki. He is survived by his sisters, Anne M. Lyons and her husband Richard Schmutz of North Brunswick, Rosemary Lyons of Monmouth Junction, Regina Lind and her husband David of Pennington; and brothers, Robert T. of North Brunswick and William J. of Oakland, California.</p><p><br></p><p>He is also survived by his nephews, John T. Perri and his wife Joanne of South Plainfield, Erik M. Perri of North Brunswick; and nieces, Nadine Larson of Readington, Megann Fischer of Highland Park and Jillian Fischer of Monmouth Junction; along with his great nieces and nephews. </p><p><br></p><p>Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Gathering on Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. at Boylan Funeral Home, 188 Easton Avenue, New Brunswick. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Church, New Brunswick. Inurnment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick. </p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
