<p>Betty Jean Fuss, 97 passed away on May 9, 2023, in Rock Hill, SC. She was born on September 15, 1925, in Port Arthur, Texas, and was the daughter of Everett and Pauline Halsell. Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Howard Fuss. The couple were married for 73 years. </p><p>Betty attended Sabine Pass Elementary and Sabine Pass High School. She then went on to pursue a career in accounting and office management. Betty was a dedicated and hardworking office manager, and her colleagues respected her for her attention to detail and her professionalism. </p><p>Outside of work, Betty was an avid golfer, and longstanding member of Sunset Grove Country Club. She was also a dedicated and highly competitive bridge player. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was always engaged in community affairs and activities at the United Methodist Church of Orange, Texas. </p><p>Betty is survived by her son Jay Fuss, daughter-in-law Ame E. Fuss, and grandsons Charles and John Fuss. </p><p>In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saint Jude Children's Hospital, or the Wounded Warrior Project. </p><p>Rest in peace Betty. You will be remembered by all who knew you. </p>
