<p>Karen Smith, 82, of Boone, passed away Monday, May 15, 2023, at West Haven Community in Boone.</p><p><br></p><p>A graveside service will be held at a later date.</p><p><br></p><p>Karen was born May 3, 1941, the daughter of Orville and Dorothy (Gleason) Todd.</p><p><br></p><p>Karen was married to Ronald Smith and to this union four daughters were born. They later divorced.</p><p>She was preceded in death by her mother and a brother, Robert Brown.</p><p><br></p><p>Karen is survived by her four daughters, Pam Grove, Rhonda (Buck) Johnson, Patty (Mark) Buchmiller and Penny (Corey) Miller; and her grandchildren, Arlo Starbuck, Mike Johnson, Matt Johnson, Tyler Lurvey, Danielle Meadows, Sara Meadows. Kylee Meadows, Kris Stahr and Katie Coleman.</p><p><br></p><p>Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall Streets in Boone. Karen Smith, 82, of Boone, passed away Monday, May 15, 2023, at West Haven Community in Boone.

Karen was born May 3, 1941, the daughter of Orville and Dorothy (Gleason) Todd.


Karen was married to Ronald Smith and to this union four daughters were born. They later divorced.

She was preceded in death by her mother and a brother, Robert Brown.
