Christopher J. Dinsmore

<p>Norway – Christopher James Dinsmore – Beloved Husband – Father – Grandfather – Great Grandfather – Uncle and Brother, died peacefully in his sleep with his loving wife, Jan by his side on May 11th, 2023 at the age of 71. He was the son of James and Rosa (Guiu) Dinsmore.</p><p>Chris took piano &amp; guitar lessons and wrote many of his own songs.</p><p>Chris graduated from Greenfield High School class of 1969, where he was a member of G.H.S. bands. He was the male lead in his senior play “The Male Animal”. In his twenties, he played guitar in a Top 40 Rock Band called “Symphony Street”; later playing with another group named “Xylo” where they toured all over the Northeast and as far west as Chicago.</p><p>In 1978, Chris married the love of his life, Jan Marie Shock in South Paris, ME. Chris worked at Paris Manufacturing Co. before moving on to Norway National Bank where he worked for 10 years.</p><p>Chris is remembered for his genuine kindness, gentleness, friendliness, devotion to his family, and loving manner.</p><p>Christopher leaves his dear wife, Jan Marie of 45 years; two sons, James Lee and Nathan Christopher; and a daughter, Joy Marie Downing (Ryan) of West Paris, ME. He also leaves behind two granddaughters, Mairead Rosa and Abby Downing; one grandson, Jacob Downing; one great granddaughter, Isabella Rose; a sister, Pamela D. Bistrek of Northfield, MA; two nephews, Travis and Tolan Bistrek; one niece, Bethany Walker; and all of their children.</p><p>Chris was predeceased by his mother, Rosa G. Dinsmore and his father, James L. Dinsmore.</p><p>A graveside memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 21st at 11:00 A.M. at the Riverside Annex Cemetery in South Paris, ME. Arrangements are under the care of Chandler Funeral Home &amp; Cremation Service, 45 Main Street, South Paris.
