With great sorrow and sadness the family and friends of the late Andre Pelley, announce his passing at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital in St. John's on May 4th, 2023.

Andre, whose quick humour and hidden grin marked him as a proud and loving father, son, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend, spent his life working and creating with his hands. Having worked in Alberta for much of his adult life in mills and factories he returned to Newfoundland to retire but not to rest. He delighted in his occasional work at Sacred Heart Parish and the cemetery at which he will rest when he could be torn from his woodworking and friends. All who knew him know that with his passing there will be music left unplayed and dogs left unpetted.

Predeceased by his mother Mary Pelley, daughter Krista Pelley and grandson Joshua Short, Andre leaves behind to mourn his daughter Andrea Pelley (Brad Sargent), grandchildren Alyssa and Branden Short, father Roy Pelley, sister Elizabeth Greene (Roy), brother Jerome Pelley ( Bridie), all of Bishop's Falls, his sister Linda While (Tim) of Fielding, NB, and a large circle of nephews, nieces, family and friends.

Father Moses Nwokocha will conduct the funeral mass from Sacred Heart Church in Bishop's Falls on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.

Pallbearers are Jerome Pelley, Mark Greene, Troy Pelley, Rick Rideout, Paul Kennedy, Tommy Hogan, and Steve Bernard.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Julia Caines of Central Funeral Homes.
