RUMFORD - Kenneth Harry Bean, Jr. of Bryant Pond, passed peacefully on May 1, 2023, at the age of 80, with his beloved family by his side. Harry was the son of Kenneth Harry Bean, Sr. and Emily Lyon Bean. A graduate of Stevens High School, Class of 1961. He was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union until retirement. Harry was a member of the American Legion for 57 years having served in the United States Army.

Harry is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Gayle (Learned) Bean, his children, Michael Feinberg (Jill), Chad Bean (Janet), Erika Murphy (Frank), Devlan Bean (Danielle), Travis Bean (Jan), his sister Bonnie Thibodeau (Dan) and predeceased by his brother, Danny Bean. Grandchildren Rylie Bean, Haley Murphy, Matthew Feinberg, Drew Feinberg, Caitlin Murphy, Brooke Lucios, Bryce Bean, Ethan Feinberg, Maxwell Bean and Griffin Bean. Harry is also survived by his former wife, Cynthia Buzzell.

A man of very few words, Harry loved hard and cherished all the friendships he made throughout his lifetime.

The family is forever grateful to the wonderful caregivers at Rumford hospital. Additionally, the family wishes to thank Veterans Services for the moving flag ceremony in honor of Harry’s service to our country, performed at the hospital upon Harry’s passing.

There are no services scheduled at this time. A private celebration of life will be held over the summer.
