Jacklin Sandra (Norton) Emerson, 83, passed away April 28, 2023 following a long illness. She was born January 19, 1940 in Calais the daughter of the late Carlton and Verna (Day) Norton. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a teacher in Millinocket and Addison schools for many years. She was a faithful member of the Community of Christ Church in Jonesport where she was very involved and active in many church events. Jackie was a friend to many, a caring person, and always eager to help anyone in need.

She is survived by a daughter Linda Faas and her husband Ricky; a son Roy Emerson; one child she took into her home and loved and cared for as her own Steven Emerson ; a sister Betty Peabody ; grandchildren – Edward, Connie, Trussel, Dennis Lee, and Jacklin Mae; great-grandchildren – Cadence, Silas, Elliana,and Lucian ; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Earnest; a grandson Calvin Snider; a sister Glennis Emerson and husband Maxwell, and a brother Nathan “Buzz” Norton and wife Ann .

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Michelle Cowperthwaite and family for welcoming her into their home and family, and for the love and excellent care they gave her at Pure Hearts Adult Home Care.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11am until time of funeral services at 1pm on Monday May 8, 2023 at the Community of Christ Church in Jonesport, with Pastor Sharon Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Norton Family Cemetery, Addison.
