Marc Desruisseaux Obituary

Markey Desruisseaux age 30 of Stratford, Ct gained his wings and became an angel at Bridgeport Hospital. Markey was born and survived by his Mother  Jewelsteine of Stratford and father Max I of Naugatuck, CT.

Markey attended Stratford Public school system and graduated from Stratford High School.  Markey was a superb athlete as some would say “ Super Star” He continued to pursue a career as a football player. He went to Milford Academy of New York ( post grad) then to Snow College in Utah for a year, but he had to come home that was a little too far for his mama, LOL. Markey came home and played safety for the Housatonic Grizzly from 2012-2013. He played semi-pro with the Connecticut Panthers from 2015-2017. He also was signed by the Carolina Cobras as a wide receiver and he played semi-pro for The New England Bobcats. Markey not only played football, at a young age he and his cousin created a basketball team named The Pearl Harbor Ballers coached by his brother Craig and uncle Dink. This team took the whole family all over the east coast from Mass to Kentucky. They always made it to the play offs but never came in 1st. They played against grown men when they were 15 & 16 yrs old. Hoop It Up new them well.

Markey’s next chapter in life was as he would say: “Grown Man Chapter”. Markey was an assistant manager at Footlocker for a few years but had bigger dreams of having a 9-5 job.  Markey and his brother Craig started their on business “Bucks Lawn & Services” It was a learning experience and then perfected.  The two worked side by side and they got the job done! Next was his brother, Max took Markey under his wing and introduced him to the life of Mack truck.  They took the class together even though Max already new how to drive.  Once Markey graduated he only worked under someone for a short time before he started his own business “KNM’s Transport” Kaedyn, Nova, Myla (‘s) Davion.  His company took his family from coast to coast even his mother got in on the travel.  Markey was at peace and happy when he was in his truck. He had big plans for his family, he said 2023 was his year.

Markey was an excellent father to all his children and a great leader to those that weren’t his. Markey loved to laugh and have fun. He had the craziest laugh to hear, but that was Markey. His favorite saying was “ When you with me, you’re Guud!” and that was the truth. Markey’s body is no longer with us , Markey would expect and want everyone to give 100% to all their dreams and life.

Markey was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Ruby/Robert Young, Paternal grandfather, Lucien Desruisseaux; Godmother, Cynthia Jones.

Markey leaves to cherish his loving memory his mother Jewelsteine of Stratford, CT; father, Max Desruisseaux, I of Naugatuck, CT; children, Kaedyn, Nova, (mother Angely Rodriquez) Myla and step son Davion Kline (mother and girlfriend Leslie Dawkins) brother, Max II and nephew Max-Anthony of Houston TX; brother, Craig (Christine) nephew Caesyn and niece, Caelynn DesRuisseaux all of Stratford, CT; grandmother Angelina of Canada, cousin, Nina Baldwin of Bridgeport, CT; a brother from another mother, Josh from FL; Keyshaun from GA; uncle Thomas of Hartford; uncle Dink & Bud of Bpt., auntie Squeaky of Bpt., Ms. Charlene of Stratford who were constantly in his life; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousin family and friends.
