<p>Dr. James Bryan Robinson, DDS, 80</p><p><br></p><p>Jim Robinson was born on June 21, 1942 in Los Angeles, California, the son of K Paul and Vera Robinson. He lived in Long Bach for most of his youth. Jim attended Long Beach City College for his associate degree and went on to graduate from USC Dental School in 1967. He joined the Air Force and was a practicing dentist in Japan for the nest three years, returning home to marry Mareen G Evertsen on June 17, 1968 in Los Angeles, California. He served on Active Duty for three years, and reserves for seven.</p><p><br></p><p>Although he originally got his pilot's license at age 16, he really began flying as a hobby later in life. He loved flying and eventually built his own experimental GlasAir 3 two-seater aircraft which he raced whenever he could. But airplane building was not his only hobby. He also built a 1/3 scale model of a Piper Cub, a dune buggy from a kit, a Porche 914 with a 6 cylinder engine, and a motor home! He also owned several different offshore race boats over the years that he loved to take on the ocean to Catalina Island or to Lake Powell.</p><p><br></p><p>He was very active in his EAA Chapter in Placerville, California until Jim and Mareen moved to Utah to be closer to their children and grandchildren. They eventually built an apartment in their airplane hanger at Spanish Fork Airport and were very involved in airport activities and security until Mareen's passing in 2017.</p><p><br></p><p>Jim Robinson passed away n Friday, April 21, 2023 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. he is survived by his children and spouses: Julianne Wilkins, Spanish Fork, UT, Jason Lance (Erin) Robinson, Sandy UT; 8 loving grandchildren. 6 great-grandchildren; and his brother, John (CInda) Robinson, Westminister, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Mareen (2017).</p><p><br></p><p>A Memorial Service for Jim Robinson will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the Aspen Meadows LDS Church, 1661 S 1400 E, Spanish Fork, Utah 84660.</p><p><br></p><p>Flowers should be delivered to the home of Julianne Wilkins, 1711 S 1520 E in Spanish Fork, UT 84660.</p><p><br></p><p>To leave condolences, visit www.legacyfunerals.com</p>
