<p>Passed away suddenly, as a result of a cycling accident. </p><p><br></p><p>Predeceased by his parents Donald Sr. and Lois (Beams), his brother Gary, and his wife Deborah (Bouwman). Survived by sister Janet and brother Brian (Susan). Father to Robert, Gary (Kelli), Brett (Kathy) and Reghan (Ali). Also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. </p><p><br></p><p>A national lacrosse champion, formally ranked racquetball player, Courier de Bois ski marathon participant and avid cyclist, Don was the epitome of an active lifestyle. He walked the entire length of the Bruce trail and rode his motorcycle often, including to Florida and back.</p><p><br></p><p>He will be deeply missed by all his friends from hockey, Racquets in Elora and the pickle ball circuit in Hamilton. </p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will take place on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home in Elora from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A private family service and burial will be held.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Don may be made to Cats Anonymous, and are greatly appreciated by his family.</p>
