Earl Mills

<p>&nbsp; </p><p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Earl Mills, Jr., age 89, passed away on April 15, 2023. Earl was born on May 9, 1933 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Ida Edward Mills and Earl Mills Sr. </p><p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Earl’s family moved from Oklahoma City to Pueblo, Colorado during his elementary school years. He graduated from Central High School in 1951. During this time, he played football, wrestled, and was also in the Naval Air Reserves. Earl then went to Pueblo Community College and graduated in 1953. He married his high school sweetheart, Barbara in that same year. They were married for 69 years until his passing. </p><p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Earl’s lifelong dream was to work as an engineer at Boeing. He moved to Seattle, Washington and was hired at Boeing. He graduated from the University of Washington with a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering. </p><p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Earl moved to California for an expanding career. He was hired by Litton Industries and then worked at Northrop Grumman. Ultimately, he landed his dream job and was hired by Aerospace Corporation in 1984. Earl became a supervisor and traveled extensively throughout the U.S., Europe, and China. </p><p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Earl retired from Aerospace in 2005, but he loved work so much that he went back the next day and continued to be a casual consultant until 2013. Outside of work, Earl enjoyed jogging, cycling, and camping with his family. He was an avid Do-It-Yourselfer, often occupied with many home improvement projects. </p><p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Ida and Earl Sr., his sisters, Katherine, Ruth, and Thelma, and his brothers, Robert and Donald. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, his children, Sherry and Renee, his grandchildren, Davon, LaShay, Jarod, Brianna, and Courtney, and his great grandchild, Jonesy. </p><p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; A memorial service to celebrate Earl Mills’ life will be held on Monday, April 24 at 11:00am, at Conejo Mountain Funeral Home, 2052 Howard Rd, Camarillo, CA 93012. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation and sincerely thank Happy Home Care, Pastor Kenneth W.           Earl Mills, Jr., age 89, passed away on April 15, 2023. Earl was born on May 9, 1933 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Ida Edward Mills and Earl Mills Sr.

          Earl’s family moved from Oklahoma City to Pueblo, Colorado during his elementary school years. He graduated from Central High School in 1951.
