<p>Leonard, Barbara Jean (nee Skitch)</p><p>May 1st, 1930 - April 20th, 2023</p><p><br></p><p>It is with heavy hearts the family of Barbara Jean Leonard announce her peaceful passing with her family by her side on April 20, 2023.</p><p><br></p><p>Jean was predeceased by her husband Frank(October 16th, 2021) and she longed to be united again, having been together for over 75 years. Loving mother to her six children Barbara(Jim), Brenda(John), Linda(Bob), Morley, Michael(Lorraine) and Lorna(Darrin). Loving sister to Bill(deceased), Ruth, and June(Roy). Dear grandmother of 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. </p><p><br></p><p>Jean was a retired employee of the Altamont Nursing Home in Scarborough. Jean had a wonderful circle of friends at Jack Goodlad Seniors Building. Her pleasures in life were bingo, card games, listening to country music and spending time with her family. Jean was an avid Blue Jays fan, she loved the boys in blue. Mom will be truly remembered</p><p>by all who knew her for her love, strength, compassion and support. Family always came first.</p><p><br></p><p>A special thank you to Paramed, CCAC, and Saint Elizabeth for their loving care and compassion.</p><p><br></p><p>As per Jean's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 6 at 3PM at Bowmanville Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.</p>
