<p>Elizabeth Holman Pickett, 97, of Chattanooga went home to be with the Lord Sunday, April 16, 2023. Bettye was born in Chattanooga, TN on May 26, 1925 to the late Tom Holman and Nona Galloway Holman. She was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia/ Chattanooga area and member of Peavine Baptist Church formerly Rossville First Baptist. Bettye served as the secretary of the Sunday School Department for the church and as treasurer over the Bridge-builder Club. She also had a membership with the Chattanooga Embroidery Club. </p><p>Bettye is preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Bill Pickett and sister, Gwen Holman Kelley. </p><p>Survivors include her daughter, Karen Pickett; several nieces and nephews also survive. </p><p>The family will be having a private interment at Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park. </p><p>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Peavine Baptist Church, Rock Spring, GA.&nbsp; </p><p>Visit www.heritagebattlefield.com to share condolences with the family. </p><p>Family will receive friends 11 – 12:30 PM at Heritage Funeral Home &amp; Crematory State Room with Pastor Jeremy Elam giving words of comfort. </p>
