<p> Calvin A. Remp, Jr. 71, of Snow Shoe, passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, April 14, 2023. Born on December 1, 1951, in Reading, he was the son of the late Calvin A. and Ethel (Doaty) Remp, Sr. On June 17, 2011, in Adamstown, he married Nancy A. Weaver, who survives at home.</p><p><br></p><p> Calvin worked at various places throughout his life. He retired from Lowes in 2013. After retirement, he just couldn’t sit still, so he went to work at Target as a stockman and then at Hall’s Market in Snow Shoe in the meat department. </p><p><br></p><p> Calvin was an avid hunter and enjoyed camping, cutting firewood and being outdoors. He would try his luck at playing the lottery. His favorite pastime was being with his family, especially his great grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p> Calvin is survived by his wife, one son, Edward R. Remp and his wife, Tracy, of Woodland, and three step sons: Duane E. Strunk and his wife, Michelle of Lamar, Craig A. Strunk and his wife, Lisa, of Howard, and Eric B. Strunk and his wife, Kelly, also of Howard. </p><p><br></p><p> He is also survived by two sisters: Barbara Bedard and Betty Mitchell and her husband, Barry, both of Reading; 11 grandchildren: Hunter Remp, Rebecca Remp, Logan Remp, Macy Jury, Makayla Jury, Rachel Reeder (Jesse), Anthony Strunk (Alex), Emily Smith (Rex), Zachary Strunk, Allan Massola, and Trapper Kunes and seven great grandchildren: Elaina Guthrie, Kryson Strunk, Kinsleigh Reeder, Jaxson Reeder, Sawyer Smith, Hoyt Smith, and Colbie Smith.</p><p><br></p><p> Following Calvin’s wishes, all services will be private. </p><p><br></p><p> In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Snow Shoe Volunteer Fire Company, PO Box 95, Snow Shoe, PA 19874 or to the St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 (stjude.org).</p><p><br></p><p> Arrangements have been entrusted to Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 106 W. Sycamore St. Snow Shoe. An online guest book can be signed or condolences to the family available at www.daughenbaughfuneralhome.com. </p><p><br></p>
