Judith Mead

Today, we lost Judith Louella Mead. She has left this world and is with the love of her life in heaven. 

Mom was a compassionate spirit whose passion was caring for others and her family. Judith was a member of the Baptist religion was a Sunday school teacher and a Girl Scout leader.

She worked in the retail business for years. We used to joke about our parents. My Dad worked for Knudsen Dairy and my mom worked for Keebler selling cookies. We called them milk and cookies. My Mom used to get on the CB radio and say “anyone out there? This is the sugar cookie”. My Dad would just giggle because she would get people responding to her. Mom was also very dedicated to her daughters and grandkids. She always had a song to sing to them. Judy was also a very creative home decorator. We will miss her homemade breads and cookies. She was a fantastic baker.

It would be wrong to say that Mom lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined to keep fighting. When anyone else would have broken, Mom stayed strong each and every day. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. There was no quit in our Mom. Just because she is no longer here, it doesn’t mean she lost her fight. Her joy for life and indomitable spirit kept her pushing through the pain.

Judith L Westover was born on August 21, 1939,in San Diego California. She married her sweetheart, George Alfred Mead July 13, 1957 . They moved to Boulder City, NV from Palmdale, CA in 1974 to raise their family.

She is survived by her three daughters:

Kimmy Mead, Kelly McDonald and 

Karen Lindford

Granddaughter: Lindsey McDonald

Son-in-law: Robert McDonald

2 Grandsons: Christopher and Jeremy Lindford 

2 Great Grand children

Your Hugs Meant the World Ma !! No one else held us so tight or made us feel so right. No one's blue eyes shined so bright with love as our mom.  You will always be our bushel and a peck !
