Ann Marguerite Sawyer, 67, died April 7, 2023 in Machias, Maine. She was born March 29, 1956 in Rockville, CT, the daughter of the late Richard Malcolm Sawyer and Barbara (Parlin) Sawyer. Ann had many wonderful years growing up in Vernon, CT, Machias and Milo. She was a graduate of Penquis High School in Milo and the University of Maine. She worked for many years in healthcare and social services, retiring from Community Health and Counseling Services in 2011 to care for her mother. Ann loved nature, reading, and music, and had a lifelong love for sports, especially for the Red Sox and the Patriots. She loved all animals, caring for many strays throughout her life.

She is survived by aunts Patricia Parlin of Zephyrhills, FL, and Jane Sawyer of Ellsworth, as well as many cousins and their families.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Per Ann's request there will be no visiting hours or funeral service. Those who wish to remember her in a special way may donate in her memory to a local animal welfare group, or to a local facility caring for those with dementia /Alzheimer’s.
