<p>Wilmaetta J. “Billie Jo Daniels” Teasley </p><p>March 4, 1945, to December 7, 2022</p><p><br></p><p>With deep sadness, we announce the unexpected loss of Wilmaetta Josephine “Billie Jo” Teasley (nee Daniels), of Reno, Nevada. Billie Jo was born March 4, 1945, in Alliance, Nebraska to William and Elizabeth (Mittelsteadt) Daniels. She was raised in Sidney, Nebraska, and graduated from Sidney High School in 1963. She enjoyed her horses, Sandy and Skipper, and was a member of 4H. She loved spending time with her immediate and extended family in the Western Nebraska area. In 1965, she moved to Reno, Nevada. Her parents and brothers also moved out west, as her father had transferred from his job to the Army Depot in Herlong, California.</p><p><br></p><p>In Reno, she worked for AT&amp;T and other companies. She married Ben Teasley in 1968. They had a son and daughter, Brent and Brenda. The family moved to Las Vegas in 1977, where she worked for the military through a private contractor, Loral Aerospace, in payroll and accounting. After retiring, she lived in several places, including Austin, Texas, and Littleton, Colorado, before making her way back to Reno. She enjoyed experiencing the different things each area of the country had to offer. She loved authentic Tex-Mex food in the Austin, Texas area and always commented that Tex-Mex anywhere else just wasn’t the same.</p><p><br></p><p>Billie Jo was an avid reader of fiction and non-fiction, she enjoyed listening to classical music, attending musicals, symphony performances, and movies. She loved the many cats and dogs she had over the years since her childhood. Billie Jo was a member of the women’s veteran’s auxiliary, book clubs, and participated in many activities at various Catholic churches, where she had a steadfast faith in God.</p><p><br></p><p>Billie Joe is survived by her children, Brent Teasley (Kimberly), and Brenda Teasley (Lindsay), brothers Charles (Susan), and Richard (Mary), three grandchildren, Addeline Teasley, and Austin and Emma Teasley, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Elizabeth Daniels, and her former husband, Ben Teasley.</p><p><br></p><p>She was always there for her children, no matter what she was going through in her own life. Family meant the world to her. We will miss her voice, her smile, her advice, her prayers, and most importantly, her love. It will never be the same without her. Our wonderful mother, grandmother, and sister is now in eternal peace with God.</p><p><br></p><p>A rosary will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1039 14th Ave., Sidney, Nebraska on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 6:00pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Patrick’s on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 10:00am, with internment at Redington Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks to please donate to Catholic Charities or the Crohn’s &amp; Colitis Foundation.</p><p><br></p>
