<p>MAMOU - A Celebration of Life will be conducted for Dexter Vezinat at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Eunice beginning at 6:00pm Wednesday, April 12, 2023 with the Navy Honor Guard performing TAPS and the presentation of the flag. Brother Kevin Richard wdll be officiating services. Dexter, a resident Duralde, passed away March 31, 2023, in Lafayette at the age of 63. He was born to Richard and Beverly Vidrine Vezinat in Eunice on January 21, 1960. </p><p>Dexter was a proud United States Navy Veteran having served in active duty for 6 years. During his time in the Navy he was a Naval Aviator. He logged in countless flight hours and received many commendations for his service to our country. After being Honorable Discharged he attended USL and graduated with his EMT Degree. He worked for Acadian Ambulance, Med Express, and St. Landry EMS. Dexter also worked as a Respiratory Therapist for a number of years. He enjoyed playing golf and watching golf on TV, Sunday drives, camping and cutting grass. Dexter spent his entire life in service to others, but his greatest joy was the time spent with his family. </p><p>Dexter leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife of 6 years, Lisa Vezinat; mother, Beverly Vezinat and husband, Pearlin LeBlanc; daughters Brenna Vezinat and Anne Vezinat; step-children, Drake Jaubert, and&nbsp; Brailey Jaubert; and grandchildren, Bruiser, Jolee, Marley, Kainen and &nbsp;Declan. </p><p>Dexter was preceded in death by his father Richard Vezinat. </p><p>A Memorial visitation will take place at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice Wednesday April 12 beginning at 3pm until service time. </p><p>Family and friends may leave condolences for the family at www.ardoinfuneralhomes.com </p><p>Ardoin Funeral Home of Mamou has been placed in charge of the arrangements. </p>
