<p>Ignatius “Iggy” J. Rondone, 92, of Rockford, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023.</p><p><br></p><p>Iggy was born in Rockford, IL on February 16, 1931 to Frank and Giatana Rondone. He graduated from West High School, Class of 1950. He married Rose J. Kutzke on May 17, 1952. Iggy proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked as a salesman for over 40 years with Humphrey Cadillac &amp; Oldsmobile and was well known in the area as “Mr. Cadillac”. Iggy was a lifelong member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and active member of the St. Ambrogio Society. He enjoyed attending Friday night fish fries with his wife and visiting with their many friends. Iggy had a passion for driving and &nbsp;especially enjoyed making memories traveling and taking day trips.&nbsp;Iggy will best be remembered for his engaging personality, winning smile and love for life. He was a devoted husband and father and will be missed by all.</p><p><br></p><p>Iggy is survived by his wife, Rose; son, Frank Rondone (Diane Campbell); nieces, Cynthia (Tim) Borcherts and Linda (Fatone) McFaddin. He is predeceased by his parents; son, Michael; daughter, Mary Ann and sister, Angela.</p><p><br></p><p>A Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 1010 Ferguson Street Rockford, IL 61102. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass. Burial will conclude in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Winnebago, IL.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Iggy's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Share memories and condolences online at www.fitzgeraldfh.com.</p>
