Daniel "Dan" N. Bravo

<p>Daniel N. Bravo age 87, passed away on March 29, 2023. He is preceded in death by his sons, Ken Bravo, Richard Bravo; sister, Oilda “Tia” Baez and brother, Omar Bravo. </p><p>Survived by his loving wife of 29 years Dianne Bravo; son, Robert (Carol) Nolan; daughters, Beth Tingen, Jennifer (Wynn Batson) Turner; step son, Woody Massey; step daughter, Cindy (Brock) Lucente; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; nieces, Olga (Luis) Rivera, Alice Bravo; nephews, Robert Baez, Carlos (Allison) Baez and numerous friends and loved ones. </p><p>Dan was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a huge baseball fan and loved the Atlanta Braves and Vanderbilt University Baseball. Dan enjoyed gardening, reading, bird watching and his cats. Dan was asked what accomplishment he was most proud of he said, “Getting my college degree, because I worked so hard to get it, and because it changed my life.” Dan earned a business degree and was very successful in his careers. As a young man Dan lacked opportunities in his native Cuba, he had immigrated to the United States. He enlisted in the Army which gave him the opportunity to learn the language, take correspondence courses, and earn his citizenship. He proudly served in the US Army and in the Korean War on the 38th parallel. He also served in Vietnam as a civilian contractor working on helicopters. He loved serving his country and he was proud to do it. After retirement from Marketing at Exxon, Dan worked as a substitute teacher at Fairview High School for 16 years. He was a hard worker, good father and a great husband. He will be missed by many. </p><p>There will be visitation Wednesday, April 5, 2023 from 9:30am ~ 11:30am with a Celebration of Life at 11:30am all at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home 9090 Highway 100 Nashville Tn 37221 </p><p>In lieu of flowers please make donation to Nashville Rescue Mission </p>
