Deb Hibbard, author of this obit, died expectedly (as we all will) on March 28. 2023, at 65. She lived a well imagined life, which is to say she relented to the constant pressure to buy things in hope the accompanying promises of a better (fill in the blank) life were true. She found it rarely true that things can do, what is, in the end, and inside job, Expect a HUGE garage sale in the coming months.

She is survived by 8 billion people, her wife Virginia Shirley, godson Terrell Gillespie, Dan and Pat Hibbard, their children and grandchildren, Diane Pepetone, and the children and grandchildren of her brother David and sister-in-law Cindy Hibbard. She is also survived by Rachel and Mike Leonard and the rest of the Leonard Clan, Ellen and Peter, Gayle Whittier, Chris Origer, Lisa Leber, Laura Lamash and Rebecca Hemzic, Dilly the manatee mutt with Marty Feldman eyes, and four cats. She is survived by many amazing friends, too many to list, including oncology and hospice professionals. She is also survived by at least 16 pharmaceutical companies who are doing just fine even if several of the 6,500 who died today are no longer clients. She was aware of the injustice of people who die for the lack of drugs and/or because they have no insurance.

Deb, who sounds a bit curmudgeonly, was, but she also knew and practiced her religion of love – she just had to get through a lot of programming to get there.
